Overall 2/5 experience for the price. Pros: I like the lobby decor and the service was quite good. Shoutout to the guy who sprayed air freshner in my room because it smelled stale and the aircon guy who fixed our hot room at 12.30. Cons: The room was initially REALLY hot and stale. Had to ask a guy to fix at night and took half an hour. Paintjob in the room is offputting. Colors are not tasteful and the job is very sloppy. A lot of peeling paint, painted over plugs furniture, cracks in the tiles and lamps. We also had to wait 30-40 mins just to get breakfast as the queue was very long (small restaurant). Food was ok at best and selection was very small. For a so called 5 star hotel I expected so much more. Paid half for an airbnb and got so much better experience… Conclusion: Would not recommend, would not stay again

Old hotel but newly refurbished room was fine. Renovated toilet was smaller than old ones and bathtub was leaking. Only provided two towels, no hand or face towel was provided. When asked for additional towel, we had to exchange our old towel for a new one, ridiculous. Had to queue very long for breakfast and spread was limited. One good thing was having a mini store in the hotel. Highly won’t recommend this hotel.

We checked in shortly after 3 PM and were greeted with a smooth and seamless process, enhanced by the friendly and warm smiles of the staff. Our large room was neat, clean, and tidy. However, we were surprised to find there was no traditional wardrobe—only an open-style wardrobe with hangers. The bathroom had the usual toiletries, but I felt it could have benefited from towel hangers, as I ended up draping my bath towel over a chair. We dined at the Oasis Restaurant, which offers a lovely view of the swimming pool. The food was excellent, and the service was even better. Ain, our server, was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, making our evening truly enjoyable. She even offered to take our photos, ensuring we captured the moment as we were so engrossed in the delicious food. Finding our way to the Oasis was a bit tricky due to ineffective directional signs. Fortunately, the exceptionally helpful receptionist took the time to guide us to the staircase leading to the restaurant. The steep, winding staircase was narrow and a bit challenging to navigate, especially since the lift was out of service. The breakfast spread offered a variety sufficient to cater to everyone, despite the bustling crowd that morning. The service staff were efficient, promptly clearing tables as guests departed to make way for newcomers. Although we didn't have the opportunity to shop or sightsee during our one-night stay, we left with fond memories and a strong desire to return. We look forward to experiencing the hotel’s warm hospitality again in the near future.

My first stay at thistle hotel even though its just across the causeway bridge to Singapore.Nice room.Friendly staff from the front desk service to kitchen and room service.Helpful and nice and morning buffet breakfast.Neaeby with alot of amenities and easy access to near town area.Recommended for short stay cation.

The hotel is a bit dated, and the bathroom—especially the bathtub—could have been cleaner. It felt a little muddy and not well-maintained. That said, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. As for the food, it was just okay—not bad, but nothing special

If you wanna see the view of Selat Tebrau, Jb city. JDT field and Singapore...this is the hotel. Book for sea view and fantastic room, spacious window is the gift that can not be replaced. Amazing.

訂的是新裝修的海景房，而前台給的是第三層樓的，説我訂的新裝修房衹有第三層樓的。從窗口看出去，也看不見多少“海”！給酒店反饋，但根本沒什麼用！ 另外，房間衞生也不理想，入住後就看到門旁的櫃子上有麵包屑，床頭櫃上也有 -- 實在感到有些噁心。 早餐沒什麼選擇。咖啡也難喝。

因為在裝修有味道，早餐一般。可能我們吃不習慣，酒店是有些偏了，但我們在吉隆坡和新山出門都是打車，也算方便的。因為是玩樂高所以選了新山，但真的沒啥逛的，逛的地方都是感覺有點中國的廉價貨，沒啥興趣。

The hotel room is bit run down stains and mould spots can be found in bathroom and room.they mentioned while booking room are reburbished, it's actually exterior not the interior.seems like few things are broken lol.. 4 super soft pillows provided and bed is comfortable. Anyway, our room were quickly upgraded to a family room as the toilet door and lamps were broken, found stains here and there.. and we were very fast attended when asked for an extras pillows blanket etc.overall was very comfortable and quiet stay.breakfast spread were good too.All staffs are friendly and helpful.Nice view from the room too.

The hotel is at a convenient location near Johor Causeway. The Hotel is clean and have good interiors. Check in and checkout process very smooth. Hotel in room food menu is good. Buffet breakfast is awesome. Have plenty of option for every food preferences.
